Whenever anyone communicates using technology, there is a risk of their personal and private information to be misdirected by phone/fax/email/texts/social media.
Discussion between client and therapist are confidential, and will be released/disclosed only with the client’s written consent, or as required by law. It is customary practice in the mental health and/or medical profession to at times; consult with other professionals; on cases to ensure the highest level of care. All discussions will respect anonymity of clients.
State law mandates that mental health professionals report certain situations to the appropriate person(s) and/or agencies.
