How I Work

My clients expect sessions in a very confidential setting; they appreciate my private waiting room and the fact that they do not have to walk past other waiting clients.

I am here for my clients:  I learned something very key in my work in regard to change; in that our brains can incorporate and sustain change only if exposed repeatedly to positive coping skills and support which enables re-wiring to occur. This is why I created the email support and homework portion of my practice, which includes brief videos as well.

My fee incorporates this additional support. Fees for expert psychotherapy and life coaching are an investment in you, as feeling better is priceless.

I encourage you to refer to my Testimonials page to read what my clients have stated about their growth and success from our work together.

You will appreciate that my office is both distinctive and therapeutic, where an aromatic cup of tea or coffee, or bottled water is always waiting.

I believe it's important to provide you with as much information as possible in order for you to make an informed decision in choosing someone to help you grow and find the answers to questions you may have. I hope the detailed information that I have provided on this website has been helpful in making your decision to call me to schedule an appointment.

I feel that it's an honor to do this work and thus look forward to providing you with care, support, and a high level of service.

Please call/text: 203-948-0938, or email, [email protected], for fee schedule.

Do You Take Insurance?
I have many clients in my practice who submit my paid invoice to their insurance company and receive reimbursement. I am an out-of-network provider and I am very pleased when clients receive money back for taking care of themselves! You can contact me for the codes for your visit, and you can inquire with your insurance company about reimbursement. Please contact your insurance company directly and inquire about your out-of-network coverage, as I have no access to your plan. Insurance companies require that your receipt have a mental health diagnosis from the DSM-V in order for you to receive reimbursement.

Health or Flex Savings Accounts:

This is an excellent way to pay for counseling!  In most cases, you can use your HSA/FSA card to pay for your counseling services.  You should check with your HSA/FSA provider to ensure they consider counseling an approved expense.

Using your EAP Benefits:

I do not contract directly with EAP providers, but some EAP providers will reimburse you for services if you submit the appropriate documentation.

*Note: Couple and Family Therapy are not covered through insurance. Couples or families expecting to use insurance to help pay for their therapy must be aware that one person of the couple or family must be diagnosed with a behavioral health disorder in order for insurance benefits to apply.

Cancellation Policy:
Your session has been reserved for you:  If you need to cancel your session, a 24 hours' notice is required for a 50 minuet session, or a 48 hour notice for a longer session, as to prevent a cancellation fees.

It is understood that unforeseen personal events do occur, so it is permitted that a client be offered a one-time late cancel that doesn't result in a late cancel fee per year. Clients please see your Informed Consent Contract for cancellation fee schedule.

During a snow emergency, ice storm, flood or other catastrophic event, the 24hr cancellation policy is waived. Always use your judgment as to whether it is safe to travel in these circumstances. In the event of a severe weather alert, or catastrophic occurrence, our office will make an effort (if possible) to contact you in regard to changes in your session.
